While our kids always slept with us as babies, we always first put them down somewhere reinforced with no potential for an unfortunate rolling incident. That's where the playard came in handy when we traveled. I didn't have to worry about them getting up and exploring some decidedly un-childproof locale.

Jeep Trek Easy-Travel Playard: This unique playard puts the
"travel" back into travel playards, making transportation with baby
easier than ever. Rugged and durable for families on the go, the
travel-friendly design of the Jeep Trek Easy-Travel Playard
incorporates a compact fold, roll-away feature, telescoping easy-grip
tow handle and durable Jeep wheels. The playard includes a bassinet,
changing table and spacious storage area that eliminates the need for
additional luggage. A toy bar with soft toys and a protective cover
for travel is also included. $139.99
The selling points on the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller for me? The Music on the Move feature, the odometer, and neato extra...an airpump. Can you imagine being out for a run with the baby and getting a blowout?

fold feature, as well as an adjustable handle to accommodate the

feature, which allows parents and babies to enjoy their favorite tunes
by playing personal cassettes, CDs or MP3 players. It also comes
complete with an adjustable canopy, reclining seat back, snack tray,
dual cup holder, cell phone storage, large basket and storage pockets,
height adjustable five-point harness, air pump and trip odometer.

And now for our giveaway! I am a huge proponent of babywearing. So much so, that I was eventually forbidden from purchasing any more accouterments to strap babies to my body. Now, since my babies are just a bit big for that, I get to give them away! (The accouterments...not the babies.) Enter to win a Jeep 2-in-1 Baby Carrier.
The rules: We'll be giving away a Jeep 2-in-1 Baby Carrier to two lucky winners. The contest will run from Sept 25 - Oct 5. The question you must address in your comment is:
"Where was your favorite place you ever went on a family vacation? Either as a child, or with your own children"

When our children were little- age 9,7 and 3 we took them to the Badlands of South Dakota and Yellowstone National Park. We took 12 days and a conversion van. It was our happiest memory. We stayed in dives along the way. We've come a long way from that sort of travel but it was our happiest memory ever.
I love to take my daughter to San Diego...she loves the beach and Sea World!anglesmr@gmail.com
My favorite place as a child was, believe it or not, Gettysburg, Pa. I remember the great fun we had in the hotel pool, and we all got to do things we loved to do. cdziuba@aol.com
We love, love, LOVE to go to Myrtle Beach! It's the best family vacation!
My very favorite family vacation was combination of multiple camping trips to Big Bear in California. We lived in Cali at the time and up in Big Bear, as some of you know, they actually get snow. My brother and I were free to run and play as we pleased, there was a creek we could play and splash in, and one trip in particular was our very first introduction to snow; in which we built the most pathetic snow man ever, but had a BALL doing it. On some of those trips still rest the happiest moments of my childhood. Dingaling18@hotmail.com.
Seriusly camping used to be a blast when there were not koas and there were real forests all over. Space center might be the best place as far as touristy but I always loved spenidng a month with my grandma
We take the kids to Carowinds and other amusement parks
last year we went to savannah georgia and out to tybee island. the kids had fun and so did we.
we also went to sea world and universal studio last year. fun for the older child but not much for the little one.
We lived in Tucson for awhile when my children were small, and they loved to go to the Desert Museum. I think that is one reason why they were never terribly upset by creepy crawlies in other areas of the country that we lived in.

I remember one year my dad took us to a camping spot somewhere in Sardis, Mississippi. We had a cabin and there were lots of kids my age and activities going on. It was alot like the resort in the movie Dirty Dancing only not as fancy. But it was the best time I ever had. I havent been able to find that place as an adult or even another one like it.
I loved going to Disney world as a child.
My favorite place is to the lake. It is so peaceful and the kids love it.

When I was 12, my parents won a trip for all of us to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., then on a six hour cruise to the Bahamas, 3 night stay there, six hour cruise back, then three more days in Ft. Lauderdale. My parents are both teachers, so we took almost the entire summer on the trip back. We'd see a sign for "the World's Largest Skillet," or whatever, and my mom would point and shout and make my dad pull over. We were dead tired by the time we got home, but I'll never forget that summer!
My favorite place was Disneyland!
Buchannan Dam, rustic cabins with deer to be seen out the back door, lots of swimming and fishing. All in all, pure heaven for kids.
When my daughter and I went to St. Augustine Florida and spent time on the beach. Than we went to Sea World
as children we always went to the beach wonderful fun
My favorite vacation with our little girl was to Disneyland. She was so thrilled with everything she saw and did. It was a wonderful fun experience and I want to do it again.
When I was a kid, we went to Chincoteague Island, VA in the summer where my aunt had a beach house. We'd get to see the Wild Ponies of Assateague and that was really cool to watch.
As young kids we were always taken to Rhode Island and Cape Cod. Carefree days of exploring beaches, sand and a completely different environment than usual made a wonderful learning, stretching experience.
My kids love Disneyworld.
My favorite family vacation ever was probably PC Beach in Florida!
Disney World
My family was very poor when i was growing up so we never took a formal "vacation" but luckily we only lived about 70 miles from Myrtle Beach in SC and they somehow managed to get the funds to take us about twice a year.

I grew up in Upstate NY and both my parents were teachers so they have the summer off from work. So, for something like 7-8 summers in a row my parents packed all 4 of us kids up in the car and we drove 8 hours to Cape Cod, MA. We would spend our days on the beach in Dennisport, MA and our nights going out for fresh catches of the day! I have always had a passion for New England, and it is just as quaint and beautiful as you would imagine it to be! My husband and I have continued the tradition and we have taken our 3 children to Welfleet, MA which is also on the Cape once so far and we plan to make more trips to the Cape as our schedules permit! (and gas prices, LOL!)

We don't get to go on many family vacations, and they are usually spent with extended family, but my favorite time of all was when we went to visit my grandparents in Florida. We spent each day seeing all the sites. Went to Daytona Beach. It was such a great time.
Please include me in your drawing. I sure would LOVE to win these items. I am pregnant again after 6 1/2 years so needless to say I don't have any of my baby things anymore.
Thanks

As a child we always traveled to Canada. I am looking forward to taking my son soon.

Like others, my favorite memories were of camping with my family. My dad was actually my Girl Scout leader, he was so into camping and the outdoors. We used his orange tent from when he was in the military and all four of us shared it. We rarely went anywhere longer than two hours away (come on, two kids int he back seat and no AC?) but if felt like a whole other world. We would cook over the fire pit, play in streams, go hiking, see wildlife and it was just such an awesome experience - I can't wait to continue this tradition with my future family!
I have SO many fun memories of all the camping trips we took as a family growing up. I remember our annual trip up to Trego, WI where we'd camp and canoe down the Namekogen river. Fun times!!!

We can't ever seem to afford to go on vacation :(
I have so many happy/fond/nostalgic memories of going to Disney World as a family. I remember crying every time it was the last day of our vacation because I didn't want it to end!
My family used to take me and my sister to South Padre Island Texas. It's not SSOOOO much a place for kids, but amazing just the same. We would spend hours walking up and down the island (it's not very big) and going to all the little shops, eateries, smoothie bars, oyster bars, theaters to pick up an afternoon show, and then head back to our hotel room. Then we would spend the afternoon/evening on the beach or rollerblading. There is just something about being on the ocean. You can rent jetski's and/or boats too! It was the best vacation ever!!! At night the hotels have beach parties that are the best...and kid friendly too!
My favorite place we went as a child was Yellowstone Park. I was absolutely fascinated by the geysers, the bubbling pools, and even the boardwalk paths. Also, back then bears and moose, etc. were spotted all the time. I loved it!

We went to North Carolina
My favorite place was Lake Somerville (Tx) when I was a child. My family would go camping all of the time. On one particular night, a mama raccoon and her three babies came to our camp. We watched the mama teach her youngins how to steal our food: they opened the cooler and got what they wanted etc. One of them grabbed a bag with a onion inside and took off. It stopped, smelled it then dropped it..... We laugh about this even to this day.

We went to the Grand Canyon amongst other places out West when I was a child. I'm 34 and I was 9 at the time, but I can still remember the magnificent beauty of the Canyons, Yellowstone National Park, Mt Rushmore, and the Hot Springs (Old Faithful). Hands down, absolute favorite had to be at 34 weeks pregnant with baby number 3. We took the two girls, aged 3 and 17 months camping at Oconee State Park. We had a late start, so we set up in the middle of the night, followed by a string of tornadoes and torrential downpour. BUT - the girls caught their first fish and had a great time! Still one of the biggest memories either of them (or myself and husband) have!
I loved going to Disney world as a child.
My favorite trip was just last month! Pregnant with baby #2, we took our almost-2-year-old daughter to the Cayman Islands and Aruba and had a wonderful time. It was so relaxing to spend time playing in the sand and swimming in the ocean and pool and just enjoy the sun and the time spent with each other.
Thanks!

Disneyworld.
Bro worked there and we always got in free :o) oh yeah how sweet it was!
My favorite place to go on Vacation as a child with my family and as an adult with my child is Ocean City, MD. Best boardwalk, best fries, best waves and best MD blue crabs :) It's a family tradition! kylienkate@aol.com
I enjoyed going to Hong Kong.
We would go to Ocean City, MD every summer. Back then, there were no shild restraint safety laws, and my little brother and I would sit on the floor in the back of my parents' cargo van. The trip was almost as much fun as the amusement park rides.
Disney World is our favorite.
